We highly recommend our Principles of Pilates workshop if you are a complete beginner of Pilates, as it is in our best interest that both you and our regulars benefit as much as possible in our beginner classes. There's more information on this at the bottom of the page.

Principles of Pilates Workshop
This workshop concentrates on the concept of pilates. You will learn the basic techniques; alignment, breathing, core engagement which will form the foundation of your regular pilates practice.The class will also cover a deeper understanding of the pelvic floor and it's engagement, the importance of muscle balance and posture types and much more. It aims to teach fundamental pilates knowledge, essential in a class situation.
You are guaranteed to leave the workshop with the foundations of pilates firmly practised and understood, a greater knowledge of the benefits of pilates and a considerably deeper understanding of your body, its ability and potential.
Whilst this workshop is primarily for beginners, those currently attending a class may also benefit from this workshop. It will help serve as a reminder of the basic technique and principles whilst offering a chance to discuss and question any problems or concerns (not often available in a time constrained class). Though it is not essential to attend a workshop before joining our weekly classes, we do recommend booking at least once, to help you grasp the technique of pilates; at the same time as joining a weekly class, you may book the next available workshop.

Our workshops usually run on Sundays, approximately every 4 - 6 weeks at Coastal Fitness, Campion Gardens, Clyne Common, SA3 3JB. The class will be 1 hour 30 mins, costing £10.
